About Olivia Shone
Having faced my own challenges with family and health I have worked hard to find ways to resource myself so that I don’t just feel like I’m surviving, but actually thriving and enjoying life.
There have been two important contributions on my own pathway to peace and fulfilment, somatic (bodily) awareness and spiritual awareness. Faith has been foundational before and during the challenges but developing a more contemplative Christian spirituality has held and resourced me, helping me know I am not alone.
My engagement with somatic awareness through mindfulness and modern postural yoga practice has given me everyday tools to regulate my nervous system and stress states to survive challenge but also find fulfilment in the everyday life.
Meaningful Wellbeing was born from my own experience of how somatics and spirituality work beautifully and helpfully together. I have offered different resources over the last 10 years but fundamentally believe that the stress and uncertainty of our fast-paced and fractured lives find an antidote in our engagement with the body and spirituality.
Whilst I draw from the Judeo-Christian tradition I offer spiritual resourcing that is not only faithful to this tradition but also highly accessible where I invite people to notice and develop the divine threads of meaning in their own lives. When engaging people with their own somatic awareness I will again meet the person where they are at, seeking to understand the relationship and awareness they have with their body as the starting place. I seek to make people feel really comfortable exploring somatics and spirituality so they can explore at their own pace.
Alongside offering inspiration and events, I offer psychotherapy with the same intention running through all my work - to help people find peace, resilience and fulfilment in their everyday lives. When I am not working I enjoy time with family and friends, being active and outdoors alongside times of stillness and space.
